Technology for Education sponsoring Brad Davidson

Kevin Grunert, proprietor of Adelaide-based educational ICT specialists Technology for Education is proud to announce the signing of Brad Davidson as a sponsored player and would like to wish him and the Adelaide 36ers all the very best for a successful 2008/09 NBL season.

In 2007/08, Brad was awarded the Adelaide 36ers' "Best Team Man" Award and provided the 36ers with 13.5 points per game, dished 4.6 assists (top ten in the NBL) and was top 20 in steals with 1.5 per game. Brad was also 4th in the league for his free throw percentage.

Kevin Grunert is proud to be supporting the Hudson Maher Foundation

In late 2003, South Australian basketballer Brett Maher, Adelaide 36ers captain and multi-Olympian, and his wife Tanya tragically lost their little boy, Hudson.

Hudson was diagnosed with a rare bone marrow disease called Haemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH) when just 3 months old. Compounding the situation, the specialist treatment he required was available only in Sydney, so the Mahers had no choice but to take on the considerable cost and disheaval of temporarily relocating.

Sadly, of course, Hudson lost his brave fight. But despite Brett and Tanya's grief, they were deeply touched by the incredible support and assistance given them by the South Australian public during his illness.

And their lasting appreciation has inspired them to help others cope, financially and emotionally, with similar crises in their own lives, through the Hudson Maher Foundation.

I am proud to support the Hudson Maher Foundation in their efforts to help families cope with life-threatening bone barrow disease, and urge you to get behind the foundation to help them achieve their goals.

April 2008 - $195 was raised for the founation at my birthday party through donations from friends and family, and I have matched that dollar-for-dollar with a personal donation to the Hudson Maher Foundation, making the total $390.
